Joe H. Tucker, Jr. concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation matters.  Mr. Tucker is nationally recognized as a trial lawyer who has tried more than 75 cases to jury verdict in state and federal courts.  He has an equally impressive appellate record in state and federal courts.  He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and, from 2005 through 2018, he has been recognized by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers as one of the state’s top attorneys.  Mr. Tucker is a Fellow in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, an invitation only trial lawyers organization limited to 500 members. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Tucker was a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Tucker has lectured nationally on areas of the law including Sarbanes-Oxley, the False Claims Act, First Amendment and other Constitutional issues, higher education, trial techniques and employment law.  He has been an instructor in Trial Advocacy at the University of Pennsylvania’s Law School. Mr. Tucker has served in numerous leadership positions in the local and state bar associations.  He previously served as President of the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia.  He is Master of the Bench of the University of Pennsylvania Law School American Inn of Court.  He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.  His other memberships include United States Supreme Court Historical Society and lifetime member of the National Bar Association.

Mr. Tucker has a long-standing commitment to the community and public service having served as a Big Brother and Host Parenting for A Better Chance.  Mr. Tucker has served on many non-profit boards including the Support Center for Child Advocates.  As a testament to his commitment to the community and enhancing the legal community, Mr. Tucker has established two scholarships at Temple Law School for economically disadvantaged law students.  Mr. Tucker has received numerous awards and accolades for his service to the community including the Temple University Alumni Association’s Impact Award and selection as the presenter at the Ross Lecture in Litigation.

Mr. Tucker is an avid fly fisher and lifetime member of Trout Unlimited.  He enjoys running marathons and biking.  Most importantly, Mr. Tucker enjoys quiet time at the beach with his family.
